Results for Sunday 29th July
Our Blue Heeler 500m Fly shoot is only a month away on the 25th and 26th of August and preparations are well underway. We held a 500m Fly shoot today with 5 people taking advantage of the practice for next month. Josh Arundell showed he's one to watch shooting a 223.04 to win. Ken Perrin was hot on his heels with a 222.02 and Rob Cheetham came third with a 189.01. Next weekend we have Shotgun on Saturday the 4th from 1.30pm, and on Sunday we will have Centerfire Field Rifle and Lever Action from 10am. Visit us on Facebook @SSAAWagga
Results for Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd June
We've hosted yet another very successful weekend of shooting out at our range with 15 shooters for Shotgun on Saturday and 13 for Centerfire Field Rifle and Lever Action. In Shotgun Aiden Lynch returned to show he's still got it, breaking 46 out of 50 clays to win. Hot on his heels were Adam Browne and Mat Colvin who tied for 2nd with 43. On Sunday we held Centerfire Field Rifle (Offhand) with Rob Baird shooting a score of 360.01 out of a possible 400 to win. Brett Tenison came 2nd with a very impressive 351.02, not bad for a left hander using a borrowed right handed rifle and shooting this competition for the first time. Josh Arundell claimed 3rd on 351.01, Just 0.1 behind Brett! Very nice shooting all round! The Range will be closed for the long weekend but we will be back on the 16th and 17th for our Major Shoot. Results for Sunday 27th May
On Sunday 12 shooters competed to see who could shoot the smallest 5 shot group at 50 yards with Carlo Zuliani proving to be the man to beat, shooting an average group size of 0.296 of an inch. Barry Wild was next with 0.343, followed by Jason Hall on 0.364. That is some extraordinary shooting right there. Next weekend we will have Shotgun on from 1.30pm on Saturday and Centerfire Field Rifle and Lever Action on Sunday. As always the range will be open to casual shooters as well. Results for Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of May
Saturday saw 6 competitors for Black Powder. Frank Cohn left everyone behind in a cloud of smoke, shooting a 246 to win. David Wheeler and Garry Moore fought hard for podium finishes with 227 and 226 respectively. On Sunday we held Centerfire 100yd/200yd Group with Paul Deehan shooting an aggregate group size of 0.269 of an inch over 5 targets to take the win. He was followed by Don Ewin (0.422) and Rob Cheetham (0.428). Rob managed to shoot an incredible 5 shot group measuring 0.133 of an inch at 100 yards on his first target which was by far the smallest group of the day. Results for Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th May
A total of 26 shooters participated in 3 different competitions over the weekend, with a mix of regulars and new shooters having a go for the first time. Mick Reed and Aiden Lynch tied for 1st place in Shotgun with a score of 46 clays broken, and Josh Duck was hot on their heels on 41. On  Sunday Josh Arundell claimed victory in Rimfire Field Rifle, shooting a very impressive score of 367 out of a possible 400. Dave Wade and Brett Regan rounded out the top 3 on 356.01 and .41.01 respectively. in Rimfire Silhouette Brett Regan shot 14 out of 40 to win, followed by Rob Cheetham on14 and Dave Wade on 13. Next Saturday we have Military Service rifle on from 1.30pm and of course casual shooters are welcome too. The Range will be closed on Sunday for Mothers Day.
Results for ANZAC Day 25th April
Our 2018 ANZAC Day shoot was a resounding success and we would like to thank everyone who participated. Special thanks to Greg and Deb Hannon for organising the shoot and making it the day it was. Greg has used his passionate understanding of the meaning of ANZAC Day to create an event that we can all be proud to be a part of, and we will continue to commemorate ANZAC Day in this way for many years to come.
Results for Sunday 22nd April
We had 6 daring shooters push their skills to the limit for a Rimfire Fly shoot on Sunday. In the end Barry Wild reigned supreme with a very tidy score of 235.06. Michael Brazier and Tim Buchholz rounded out the top 3 with 233.03 and 215.06 respectively. Coming up on Wednesday is our ANZAC Day .303 shoot. Its a good fun shoot as well as a unique and engaging form of remembrance. Spectators are more than welcome, and all proceeds from the day go to Legacy. Results for Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th April
We kicked off the weekend with a Black Powder shoot, Where 6 competitors managed some incredibly accurate shooting with some very old guns. Dave Wheeler shot a score of 90 to win, followed by Garry Moore and Simon Jonas on 74 and 67 respectively. Sunday saw 12 shooters come out for Centerfire 200yd score. Many tried, but no-one could keep up with Clayton Hogno who shot an incredible 244.02 to win, followed by Barry Wild on 239.04 and Brett Crain on 237. In Factory Class every point counted with Brett Regan shooting a 230 and Rob Cheetham hot on his heels with 229. Our Next event is Rimfire Fly 3x100 2x200 on Sunday the 22nd, and of course our ANZAC Day shoot isn't far away either. For more information see our Facebook page @SSAAWagga
Results for Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th April
Our ever growing group of shotgun shooters continues to get bigger and better every month, With 20 shooters showing up to break some clays. Brad Kidd proved to be unbeatable on the day with a score of 47 out of 50. He was followed by Josh Duck and Adam Browne who both shot 42. On Sunday we had 10 shooters for Military, including a couple of first timers who absoultely loved it. Dave Wade shot an incredible 191 out of 200 to win, followed by Greg Hannon on 182.2 and Terry Robinson on 178. Results for the March Fly Shoot
Well once again another fly shoot is done and dusted. We had 57 entries for Saturday and there was some fierce competion and some rather interesting conditions for Wagga.
In Light Gun Grant Groves prevailed with a score 251.01 from Les Fraser with 243.03 and Tim Pavey with a 242.03 Peter VM grabbed small group with a 1.507 and Les Fraser grabbed High Target with a 57.02.
In Heavy Gun yours truly was up there until Dave Groves showed me how to really steer a heavy gun to claim the win with a. 263.04 from me on 252.04and Tyson Trotter on 250.03 Small group went to Nick Aagren with 1-752 and High target to Rob Halloran with a 57.01.
It was great to see a few juniors fight it out with Ryan Hall taking the top step of the podium with a 198.01 from William Bailey on 192 and Callum Groves with a 172. Dave Groves was the outright winner for Saturday with his dominant score of 263.04
From all reports there was gentlemen who camped at the range called "Amok" and some of those camping decided to run around with him  !!
Sunday saw some truly Canberra like wind for the first ever Registered 200m Rimfire Fly at Wagga. Plenty of competitors used all of their targets surface area and some even beyond that. Barry Wild took the win with a 234.03 from Tyson Trotter on 232.05 and Ryan Hall (Junior) on 232.02. Small group was Tyson Trotter with a 1.481 and Les
Fraser took highest target with a 57.
In Factory class Rob Valeri took out first place with. A 145, he also took out small group and High Target.
The top three two day aggregate winners were Dave Groves with a combined score of 484.06 taking frst place, and winning a Maddco Barrel supplied by our sponser Pro Cal, from Tyson Trotter on 482.08 in 2nd and Nick Aagren
with a 465.08 in 3rd place.
The winner of the lucky door prize who took home another Maddco Barrel was John Butts.
I would like to thank our target crew, caterers and all of those who work behind the scenes to make these events run. Saturday saw 7 shooters their hand at a 200yard Rimfire Fly Shoot. Tony Gestier again showed he's one to watch, shooting a 225.02 to win, followed by Mark Anstee on 205 and Tricia Stubbs on 189.02. On Sunday we held Military Service Rifle which was contested by 6 shooters.Greg Hannon shot a perfect score of 50.5 at 50 yards however it wasn't enough to earn him the win. Bruce Milne claimed victory with a final score of 187, followed by Greg on 184.06 and John Buik on 182.01. Next weekend we have Black Powder on Saturday from 1.30pm, and Centerfire 300m Fly on Sunday from 10am. As always,casual shooters are more than welcome and we look forward to seeing you there! Results for Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th March
Saturday was a beautiful day to shoot some clays and 16 competitors agreed. Mick Reed shot another 49 with that elusive 50 being just out of reach again. Matthew Wilesmith wasn't far behind on 44, followed by Mat Colvin on 43. On Sunday we held Centerfire Field Rifle and Mick Reed again showed us all the benefit of experience by shooting an incredible 374.06 out of a possible 400 to take the win. Josh Arundell followed on 348 to get 2nd, and Rob Baird took 3rd with 343. In Lever Action we tried a whole new competition on brand new targets for our Classic Caliber Postal Shoot. Rob Baird shot 172.02 to win, followed by Mick Doughty and Mick Reed on 165 and 149 respectively. Results for Sunday 25th February
17 Shooters brought their .22s out for our ever popular Rimfire Score competition with Tony Gestier reigning supreme at the end of the day with a score of 250.09 out of a possible 250.25. Hot on his heels with 249.16 was John Butts and Michael Brazier with 249.14. With scores like that you can see why those guys are in Master class. In Hunter class John Buik showed the value of experience by shooting a 246.05, followed by Adam Lowrie on 245.06 and Rob Cheetham on 245.04.

Results for Sunday 17th & 18th February
7 shooters took to the range on Saturday with Black Powder Rifles, proving that old guns can be just as much fun (if not more) than new ones. Mark Wheeler shot a respectable 249 to win, followed by Garry Moore 218 and Simon Jonas 201. Sunday was our first Benchrest shoot for the year and the turnout was huge! 19 Shooters shot 100y Centerfire for group and at the end Paul Deane stood victorious with an incredible average group size of of 0.279 inches at 100 yards. Don Ewin came second with .351 and Rob Cheetham scored .401 for 3rd. In Factory class Ryan Mitchell shot a .542, followed by Arthur Robinson and Gavin Power on .696 and .719 respectively. 9 Shooters took advantage of a beautiful day to shoot one of our more challenging disciplines.
Military Service Rifle can bring even the most experienced shooters unstuck at times with a combination of iron sights and old rifles however Greg Hannon showed us all its still possible to shoot these old rifles well by scoring an amazing 192.2 out of a possible 200. Bruce Milne and Dave Wade tied for 2nd place on 189.2. Our next competition will be Black Powder on Saturday the 17th and Centrefire 100y Group on Sunday the 18th. We kicked things off for 2018 with a Bang! 19 shooters came out for shotguns with Mick Reed being the winner on the day with 49 out of 50 clays broken. Aiden Lynch and David Sides placed 2nd and 3rd with 47 and 43 respectively. On Sunday we held Rimfire Field Rifle where Tony Gestier set the bar very high for the rest of they year by shooting a 358.3 out of 400. Rob Baird was hot on his heels with 355.7 and Carlo Zuliani placed 3rd with 337.2. in Rimfire Metallic Silhouette Rob Baird shot 23 out of 40 to win, followed by Tony Gestier on 20 and Josh Arundell on 18.
