Sunday saw 18 shooters contest a 50y rimfire score event. Mick Reed and Barry Wild were the only master class shooters. Along the way Mick shot a new club record for a single target, 50.05 a perfect score. Results for the Blue Heeler Weekend
The fly weekend of the 5th and 6th may have attracted the best fly shooters in Australia but our locals were not outclassed. Particularly pleasing was the number of juniors competing. Few juniors are willing to accept the challenge of trying to place shots into the size of a postage stamp at 500m but we had five. In factory class on Saturday, from a field of seventeen, Gavin Power made fourth, while Arthur Robinson and junior Ryan Mitchell tied for fifth, all beating the man who on Sunday set a new national record. Still on Saturday in custom class, from a field of 37, Greg Chapman finished 13th, Rob Halloran 21st and Bob Wright 22nd. Tyler Chapman was top junior finishing 23rd overall. On Sunday from a field of 36 in light gun Bob Wright was third. Junior Kira Deehan was 9th, not that I would mention it this, she was well ahead of mum and dad despite the fact that mum shot a new national group record. Full results can be seen at 500mflyshooter.com.au Sunday the 13th is rimfire field followed by rimfire silhouette.

Yes you guessed it, both records were previously held by Carlo. In masters class the minor places were filled by Greg Hannon and Barry Wild.
