Results for Sunday 19th August
200y groups were shot on Sunday in light conditions but a slight change in the flags was good for an inch or more on the group and spelt disaster for the unwary.

In hunting class Bruce Milne was consistent to win first place with 1.490 (average group size in inches), with Clayton Hogno and John Buik hot on his heels with 1.546 and 1.739 respectively.

In masters class Roy Ewin (junior) shot consistently and was the only shooter to stay under the inch for all five targets to average 0.657 with Glenn Seaman 0.797 and Don Ewin 0.872 taking the minor places. Rob Cheetham 0.986 and Mick Reed 1.073 rounded out the class.

Results for Sunday 9th September
Congratulations to Glenn Seaman, he has been selected in the Australian team to contest the International Rimfire Bench (IRB) world titles  in Europe next year. Glenn is currently ranked third in Australia for IRB.  To add the icing to the cake his daughter Emily has been selected to compete as a junior. With Roy Ewin selected to represent at the Pacific Regional Shooting Championships in New Zealand later this year that makes three from Wagga called to represent Australia – little wonder the club competition is so tough!

Meanwhile on the local scene in military rifle David Wade only dropped two points from a possible 300 to win the event with John Buik and Shane Robertson filling the minor places.

As reported last week congratulations to Glenn Seaman, he has been selected in the Australian team to contest the rimfire world titles  in Europe next year. His daughter has also been selected as a junior but Hannah not Emily as reported last week – sorry for the error.

On Sunday 22 contested a 100y centrefire score event. In Masters Class Glenn Seaman was faultless to score 250.11 from a possible 250 but Roy Ewin and Pa pushed him all the way to both finish on 249.12 with Mick Reed and Rob Cheetham rounding out the class.
In hunting class John Butts was first on 248.7 from Bruce Milne 242.5.  Talented junior Maddi Zuliani, competing in her first ever centrefire event, put in an impressive performance to finish third on 239.2, once again finishing ahead of Carlo.

In Hunting Class Paul Passlow did not go over 0.4 to agg an outstanding 0.370 – this would have taken second place in Masters Class.  Barry Wild 0.412 and Gavin Power 0.427 filled the minor places.  Barry shot the small group for the day – 0.168.
There was a pleasing turn out of juniors; Maddi on 0.464 (yes, 18 I know but a junior until the end of the  season); Logan Robinson 0.551;  Hanna Seaman 0.571; Emily Seaman 0.671; Roy Ewin 0.733;  Ryan Mitchell 0.736 and Cameron Hall 0.964.  Cameron, on his first benchrest shoot, was unlucky.  He was sitting on a 0.5 agg when on his last shot for the day went to move the rifle and bumped the trigger turning another half inch group into a two and a half inch group – has happened to us all!.
