PROTECT OUR SPORT AND CULTURE! SIGN THE FASTEST GROWING PETITION IN NSW

We all need to oppose the negative consequences of the Firearms and Weapons Legislation (Criminal Use) Bill 2020

The Bill provides police with additional discretionary powers for search and seizure of firearms and firearm parts without due cause. The Bill also attempts to remove basic legal rights under common law, including the presumption of innocence and the right to silence and directly effects farmers, workshops/volunteer groups, businesses, hunters and sports shooters.

To sign the ePetition, you simply: 1. Click on the link to be redirected to NSW Parliament’s ePetition page; 2. Confirm you are a resident of New South Wales; 3. Enter your title, first name and last name; 4. Enter your email. Once you click “submit” you will have signed the ePetition.  Please note: Your details will not be made public.

Pass this on to everyone you know who believes that common law rights need protection, law abiding firearms owners and machinists are not criminals!!!

Welcome to the Wagga Wagga branch of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia,
We cater for the needs of over 1000 members; hunters, plinkers and competition shooters, men and women, juniors and those for whom youth is a very distant memory. Our range is open on Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm, Wednesdays from 1pm to 4pm and Sundays from 10am to 4pm except for long weekends and between Christmas and new year.  It caters for Shotgun, Black powder, Rimfire and Centrefire Field Rifle, Military Rifle, Rimfire Metallic Silhouette, Lever Action, Benchrest and Fly out to 500 metres and those who just want to do their own thing. There are four major two day competitions each year and club competition shoots most Sundays and some Saturdays. While we have a small group of target shooters who travel to major competitions the majority who take part in the club competitions do so with their hunting rifles.  For this reason, the club competitions are structured so that hunting rifles are competitive, in fact the 2010 club champion achieved his success with a hunting rifle.  Visitors and those who just want to test the waters are always welcome.

The branch was founded in 1988 and concrete for the benches was laid in 1991. The original range consisted of a 100 and 200yard Benchrest range with benches for 18 competitors and a 200metre Field Rifle range.
Since 2004 we have built a large clubouse, added a Shotgun range with a field layout, a Rimfire Silhouette range, a new 200metre Field Rifle range, added 3 benches to accommodate 21 competitors and most recently, extended the Benchrest range to 500metres to cater for Fly shoots.
